Post Harvest Associate

JOB SUMMARY The Post-Harvest Associate reports directly to the Post Harvest Manager and plays a hands-on role in the post-harvest lifecycle of cannabis by supporting drying, curing, storage, and preparation of flower for final processing. This position is responsible for handling harvested cannabis with care and precision to maintain product quality, consistency, and compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Working under the direction of post-harvest leadership, the Post-Harvest Associate supports daily post-harvest operations while maintaining accurate records, organization, and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a highly regulated and physically demanding environment. Work is performed in a cultivation environment with regular exposure to cannabis plants, cannabis-related odors, pollen, dust, and varying temperatures, humidity levels, and lighting conditions typical of commercial cultivation operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Curing Process - Tasks like drying, curing, conditioning, and monitoring moisture content reflect actual cannabis flower curing protocols, which are critical for potency, safety, and terpene preservationWIP Vault Operations - The inclusion of WIP (Work-In-Progress) vaults reflects how cannabis must be securely stored and tracked between stages a requirement in nearly all regulated marketsCompliance with Track-and-Trace Systems - References to METRC and state regulations directly address the industry's strict inventory tracking and reporting requirementsSecure Handling & Regulatory Cleanliness Standards - Sanitation protocols, secure vault handling, and compliance mentions all reflect standard cannabis regulatory expectations (GMP, GLP, or equivalent)Cannabis Processing - Accurately debuck, trim (both machine and hand trim), hang harvested product in dry rooms, cure, grind, weigh, and package cannabis materials according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Quality Control - Perform real-time visual inspections of cannabis for quality, consistency, and compliance with product specificationsTrimming & Manicuring - Hand-trim flower with precision to maintain product integrity and presentation standards for retailWeighing - Measure cannabis products for distribution while maintaining aseptic techniques and preventing contaminationQuality Control & Record Keeping - Conduct routine, real-time visual inspections of cannabis products during trimming to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with product specifications. Accurately log weights and product data to support inventory tracking, regulatory compliance, and internal quality standards OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITES Adhere to All Safety and Compliance Policies - Follow company guidelines and state regulations regarding product handling, security, and cleanliness Collaborate with Team Members - Communicate regularly with cure and post-harvest team members to ensure consistent quality, pace, and compliance throughout the workflow Perform Other Duties as Assigned - Support the post-harvest department with general labor, packaging, or cleaning as needed based on departmental priorities MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check Must be able to obtain and maintain a state Registered Agent Card or equivalent state credentials Must be able to work in humid environments with strong plant odors, and fluctuating temperatures Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and to follow sanitation and safety standards Highly detail-oriented, proactive, organized and able to follow strict procedures and communicate effectively Strong observational skills to detect moisture inconsistencies, contamination risks or inventory discrepancies Comfortable using digital logs, weight scales and internal systems for data tracking and compliance documentation Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast paced, highly regulated environment PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated experience with Metrc, or similar systems Familiarity with moisture control, terpene preservation and environmental standards during the cure process Understanding of the significant impact of preparation for downstream production Background in cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, or similar highly regulated manufacturing environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Drop Down Selection 1.
