Construction Technician

We are seeking a Construction Field Inspector in our Fort Wayne, IN location. Responsibilities Documents field activities, observations, and testing results on transportation and utility infrastructure projects. Completes field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate. Notifies Engineer or Supervisor of problems. Acts as a liaison for client, contractor, and residents when needed. Maintains vehicle and equipment as necessary. Education High School Graduate. Licensure/Certification/Registration OSHA 10, Troxler Safety & Hazmat Safety Training preferred. 0-2 years’ experience materials testing and/or DOT Certifications preferred. Indiana: ACI/MCA Concrete testing certification, INDOT Certified Technician Program Certification, INDOT material testing qualifications, INDOT Stormwater Manager, 0-2 INDOT Site Manager experience are preferred. ABONMARCHE WILL PROVIDE TRAINING FOR THE NECESSARY CERTIFICATIONS IF THE APPLICANT DOES NOT HAVE THEM. Work Experience/Qualifications 0-5 Years. INDOT or MDOT experience preferred. Building trades or highway construction or public works experience a plus. Work Environment Typical office environment with work performed outside on a project site. May be exposed to extreme temperatures.
