Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver classroom and hands‑on instruction in Manual and CNC machining, including milling, turning, machine setup, and operation. Teach students how to safely operate manual lathes, mills, CNC machines, and related manufacturing equipment. Instruct students in CNC programming concepts, G-code fundamentals, machine setup procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Train students to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T requirements, and manufacturing specifications. Demonstrate the proper use of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools. Evaluate student performance through practical projects, skills assessments, and classroom instruction, providing coaching and constructive feedback. Foster a safe learning environment by enforcing shop safety standards, equipment procedures, and best manufacturing practices. Maintain training equipment, machine tools, and laboratory workspaces to ensure a productive and safe instructional environment. Mentor and support students as they develop the technical and professional skills needed for careers in advanced manufacturing.
