The custodian cleans a building either alone or in conjunction with other custodians and/or students and may perform a variety of tasks or only certain designated tasks depending on the assignment. Custodial tasks include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, trashing, dusting, window cleaning, carpet and floor cleaning and maintenance, and other periodic duties associated with maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the residence hall buildings. This position also includes cleaning during the morning, afternoon, and occasional weekend days. The custodian is responsible for assigning work, overseeing, and inspecting the work of the student custodial staff.Minimum RequirementsMinimum qualifications are not established for this classification. The appointing authority is responsible for recruitment and selection.
