Medical Laboratory Technician - Per Diem, Vairable

Description Medical Laboratory Technician - Clinical Laboratory at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is per‑diem and involves 8‑hour variable shifts. Under the direct supervision of the Section Supervisor, the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) processes patient specimens, performs testing and reports specified clinical laboratory diagnostic tests, as permitted by federal and state regulations. The MLT notifies appropriate clinical personnel of critical results and provides proper documentation. The MLT performs clerical and quality‑control activities. The MLT participates in diagnostic laboratory services for the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science. Coursework/Training: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) training program approved by the State of California. Upon hire: California Medical Laboratory Technician License. Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
