Restorative Aide

A restorative aide helps patients regain or maintain their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. They work with patients recovering from accidents, illnesses, or surgery. Responsibilities Help patients with daily tasks like eating, bathing, and moving around Assist patients with mobility exercises and activities Help patients strengthen muscles and improve range of motion Work on speech therapy Follow patients' rehabilitation plans Monitor and document patients' progress Communicate with other healthcare team members Qualifications Certified nurse assistant (CNA) with specialized training in restorative care Ability to communicate effectively in English Ability to work independently with indirect supervision Physical strength, endurance, and motor coordination Strong ability with sight, sound, and speech Ability to frequently change position, such as standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, and carrying Work environment Restorative aides work in a variety of settings, including nursing homes and rehabilitation centers.
