Help the Underserved in Metlakatla, AK This is an exciting opportunity to help the underserved patient population in Metlakatla, AK. We are looking for a dentist to work as a full-time locum from the end of August through the end of November. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-4:30 (on call via phone with some possible call backs) Patient ages: All ages from first erupted tooth on Procedures: Comprehensive dentistry as specialists are quite a ways out. Routine Dental Care Pediatric Dental Care Restorative Care including treatment of damaged, or missing teeth, fillings, crowns, bridges, and restoring dental implants Emergency Dental Care - immediate care for toothaches, broken teeth, avulsed teeth, and orofacial swelling Periodontal care - gingival health, treating gum disease, scaling and root planing Support Staff: Dental Health Aide Therapist (DHAT) - 1 Dental Assistants - 3 Hygienists - actively recruiting Front Desk - 2 Additional Information: X-Ray available: Digital Sensors, Panoramic, 3D scan DHATs/dental assistants/hygienists assist with x-rays Fillings placed: composite and amalgam Clinic supplies and sterilizes high and low speed handpieces Extraction kits kept in stock Sedation: not offered (N2O and oral pills only on-site) Denture consultation and fitting/prep provided 5 dental chairs/workstations Dentist provides personal loupes Travel and lodging: One round-trip flight, vehicle provided, cabin-style housing with shared washer/dryer space Pay rate: Starting at $125/hour plus 8 hours of travel time paid. Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $125 - $135 Hourly
