This Licensed Clinician (LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC) will function in a dual role at The Blanchard Institute as both Clinical Assessor and Therapist as business and client needs require.

In the role of Clinical Assessor you will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Team by thoroughly assessing each client adhering to the admissions process and procedures, collecting collateral information from family members or third parties, and appropriately staffing the assessment before treatment placement. The Clinical Assessor is also responsible for supporting the clinical team with treatment planning, Family and Client Orientation, assisting with case management and referral management, coordinating clinical and holistic services being provided; and arranging additional resources. This individual participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. They understand and work within the 12 Core Functions of a CSAC candidate. The Clinical Assessor will be trained in UA/BAC screening, crisis intervention, and EMR data entry.

As a Therapist , you will be responsible for providing the full range of therapeutic interventions to clients in treatment. This shall include, but not be limited to assessment and treatment services, family/relationship services, group process, educational presentations, treatment planning and review, documentation of services and client response, concurrent reviews, discharge planning, and managed care contact as directed by designated staff. You will complete and evaluate biopsychosocial assessments and other data, interview family members or third parties, and complete individualized initial treatment plans for clients entering treatment. Your day will include facilitating group and individual therapy, assessing client progress, conducting discharge planning and partnering with members of a treatment team. Therapists may develop and present lectures and education presentations to clients and participate in QA activities. 

All licensed clinicians must demonstrate the knowledge and professional skills necessary to provide clinical care for substance abuse and co-occurring substance abuse clientele, as well as be able to maintain high standards of excellence in an ethical and trauma-informed setting. 

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required.
• At least one year’s training and/or clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in a behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder treatment setting preferred.
• Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities preferred.
• Prior work in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment environments preferred.
• Current state licensure or licensure eligibility (e.g., LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or equivalent) required.
• Associate licensure considered.
• Dual licensure or certification in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment is strongly preferred.
• First Aid/ CPR Certification
