Automotive Lead Technician – No Weekends! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automotive Technician to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary: The Lead Automotive Technician will provide technical expertise and ensure the highest level of service and repair quality. Extensive knowledge in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance will uphold our reputation for excellence. Schedule: 8:00–5:00 M–F and 1 hour for lunch. Responsibilities Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and engine systems. Lead and mentor a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship. Oversee the scheduling and assignment of repair jobs, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely completion of tasks. Collaborate with the service advisor to provide accurate repair estimates, including identification of parts and labor requirements. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations, promoting a safe working environment for team and customers. Stay updated with the latest automotive technology, trends, and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development. Utilize diagnostic equipment, tools, and software to efficiently diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used, using the shop management system. Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns, explaining repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Qualifications Extensive experience as an Automotive Technician, with a strong focus on diagnostics and repairs. Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team. In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and engine components. Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, tools, and software. Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Up‑to‑date understanding of industry safety protocols and regulations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
