Registered Nurse (RN) | Clinic Float

Location: Avera Aberdeen Family Physicians Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm Pay Range: $27.75 – $41.25 per hour (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Responsibilities Provide general nursing care to patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic. Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients. Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider. Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintain timely flow of patients. Greet patients and prepare them for physical examination. Screen patients for appropriate information including health history, vitals, and nursing assessment. Document obtained information in patient chart. Instruct patient in collection of samples and tests. Respond to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from physician. Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints. Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness. Prepare list of medical supplies needed. Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed. Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license in the state of practice. Work in the hours specified. Possess visual acuity adequate to perform duty; ability to communicate, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
