They are responsible for overseeing daily functions and ensuring guests are receiving the standards of service expected by LCHG. They are responsible for overseeing multiple culinary and beverage outlets at East Austin Hotel but, they will focus on the cashier's counter at Sixth and Waller. The supervisor will be responsible for both opening and closing shifts throughout the week. They will be responsible for counting cash drawers, resolving conflicts, assisting staff when needed and attending to all needs of the guests.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Greet all guests to Sixth and Waller at East Austin HotelAnswer any questions guests may have regarding food and beverage at EAHHave advanced knowledge of all menusAssist guests with directions within the hotel and surrounding areasProficient with the Aloha POS system – Adjust charges, add items and specials, process cash and credit transactionsIssue receipts, refunds, credits and changeCount money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct.Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.Proficient with table finding software (pucks)Sincerely engage with guests to make them feel welcome and comfortableCommunicate professionally and respectfully with all employeesHave a thorough understanding of table numbers and positionsHave a thorough understanding of EAH garage prices and policies and be able to explain them to guestsAssist with training of new employeesComplete all necessary opening and closing dutiesResolving guest complaintsQualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESMust be able to convey information and ideas clearlyMust be able to evaluate and choose alternate courses of action quickly and accuratelyMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessaryMust have the ability to gather information from all sources available and know how to use this information to best resolve a problem or needMust communicate effectively with all levels of managementMaintain high standards of personal appearance and groomingMaintain regular attendanceAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers and patronsMust be flexible to provide assistance to management team in a 24/7 operating environmentMust have reliable transportationQUALIFICATIONS :Minimum of high school diploma / equivalency or at least two years of progressive experience in a customer service, hospitality or a related field requiredMust possess English Language Skills sufficient to fully comprehend job assignments, including the ability to read, write and communicate in fluent EnglishPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Working extended hours may be required as neededRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, use repetitive wrist and finger movement, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlLifting (rarely) 20 – 25 lbs.
