Job Purpose As a CNC Programmer at VulcanForms, Inc., Devens, MA, you will develop production processes and CNC programs for our manufactured products. You will be involved in New Product Introduction and Continuous Improvement of existing products. You will strive to leverage new technology, advanced cutting techniques, and a host of LEAN manufacturing methods to improve quality and reduce cycle times and costs. Key Responsibilities Use solid models and detailed prints from Creo or Mastercam to develop work holding and tooling. Write CNC programs using the latest version of Mastercam. Prove out programs and ensure that they are production ready. Support execution of OQ / PQ activities as required for the process/products. Develop detailed work instructions as needed. Support operations with problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and technical issues. Maintain configuration management by properly naming and saving electronic files and programs. Complete all work assignments, design, and development projects with minimal supervision. Contribute to the team environment by accomplishing results while cohesively working as a team member. Work within the framework and always abide by VulcanForms QMS (Quality Management System) and the requirements of the OSHA safety policies and procedures. Promote the use and adherence to our company's 7S and LEAN philosophies. Qualifications 5+ Years experience of CNC Programming Working knowledge of 3D modeling using Mastercam Expert knowledge of CNC machining (3 & 5 axis milling, single & dual spindle turning, and EDM) Proven experience blueprint reading, GDT tolerance, composite tolerances, and dimensional inspection Thorough understanding of work‑holding design utilizing SMED techniques Decision‑making ability: display a willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; support and explain the reasoning. Include appropriate people in the decision‑making process; make timely decisions. Technical competence and a high degree of mechanical aptitude (understanding software, hardware, etc.) Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness. Determine ways to improve and promote quality. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
