Job Duties

Maintain and oversee all aspects of the Division's VLEPSC accreditation program including maintaining files and proofs, conducting periodic audits, reviewing and developing policies, providing training to Division personnel, researching, tracking and ensuring compliance in accordance with required deadlines. Serve as a VLEPSC accreditation assessor. Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison with VLEPSC representatives, assessors, and agency personnel.

Administer and maintain the Division's PowerDMS platform to maintain security and functionality. Manage policy creation, revision, publication and archive. Ensure compliance with agency requirements by tracking training completion and policy acknowledgement by Division employees. Audit policy compliance, training, and related documentation. Serve as the agency's subject matter expert of PowerDMS which includes granting employee access to PowerDMS, providing training, troubleshooting system issues and providing technical assistance to employees.


Minimum Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of the accreditation process; project management; organization management/operation principles; and statistical analysis/interpretation. Demonstrated ability to document strategies and formulate alternative solutions; to develop and interpret policies and procedures; handle multiple assignments with critical deadlines. Excellent working knowledge of Division policies and procedures; knowledge of law enforcement procedures. Ability to analyze information and to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Demonstrated ability to utilize a personal computer using current software programs.

Additional Considerations

Graduation from an accredited college or university with applicable coursework in social science, government, business, criminal justice or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience, indicating possession of the preceding knowledge, skills and abilities, may be substituted. Prior experience working in an accreditation role is preferred.
