Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week infusion unit contract in the Boston area, requiring 2+ years of oncology infusion experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a 60-bed/chair outpatient infusion unit within a Division of Hematology-Oncology at an academic medical center (AMC)
• Oncology infusion patient population with complex GI chemotherapy regimens
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) requirements
• Charts using Epic EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of oncology infusion experience in an AMC setting
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Strong IV placement and patient assessment skills
• Experience with complex GI chemotherapy regimens
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• No validated parking available at this Boston location; public transportation or public parking lots are available (daily parking rates approximately $17–$22)
• Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
