Production Worker – Food Manufacturing (Now Hiring)

What You’ll Do

• Follow manufacturing orders to gather, measure, weigh, and document ingredients for mixing
• Load ingredients (up to 50 lbs.) into mixers and blend according to time and batch specifications
• Transfer mixed batches to the next stage of production
• Operate extrusion equipment to produce finished products
• Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure product quality meets customer specifications
• Move finished products from extrusion and drying using drums, carts, or trays
• Apply finishing touches using the panning process—polishing and adding liquid ingredients manually or through automation
• Use hand tools and RF scanners to support production, batching, and inventory accuracy

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of recent manufacturing or production experience
• Experience with mixing, batching, extrusion, polishing, or finishing preferred
• Ability to use RF scanners, hand trucks, sifting screeners , and other basic production tools
• Ability to lift/move up to 56 lbs. with or without accommodation
• Strong English and math skills; ability to read/write and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and shipping documents
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong work ethic

Work Environment

• 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
• GMP‑regulated food production facility with 8 production rooms and 4 packaging lines
• Must follow strict hygiene and safety protocols: uniform, hair net, beard net (if applicable), safety shoes
• Required to wash and sanitize hands and sanitize boots before entering the production floor and each room
• Fast‑paced, hands‑on environment focused on safety, sanitation, and consistent product quality

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
