Geologist 2 The Geologist 2 position is within the Iowa Department of Transportation's Construction and Materials Bureau, based in Ames. You will provide geological expertise to ensure quality and safety of materials used in highway and bridge construction, working with aggregate producers and construction teams. Responsibilities include field work at quarries, laboratory testing using specialized equipment, and evaluating pavement performance to support Iowa's transportation infrastructure.
