Maintenance Technician III - 3rd Shift

Summary of Position:

The Maintenance Technician III independently repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems and related controls. The person in this position independently completes work assignments on numerous lines and/or with contractors for both internal and external projects.

Functions of the Position:

• Troubleshoots, repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems and related controls independently.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.
• Works on fabricating necessary parts as needed.
• Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as needed.
• Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and
• regulatory requirements.
• Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
• Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
• Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
• Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
• Responsible for compliance with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.
• Responsible for supporting safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards and conducting safety observations as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Seven plus years of experience in repair, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical components and wiring.
• Knowledge of electrical trouble shooting up to 480v.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Advanced mechanical skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work from extended heights.
• Ability to work on elevated platforms.
