JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing efficient and personable service for guests, including beverage orders, service and overall dining experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

1. Promote exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
2. Greet and acknowledge guests entering the restaurant and/or seated in the assigned service area.
3. Promptly offer beverage service and other amenities to guests.
4. Provide alcohol service and collect payment.
5. Provide attentive service throughout guest meals graciously serving, and refilling beverages and condiments.
6. Maintain the area for cleanliness by promptly removing dishes, wiping off chairs, tables, and high/booster chairs, and resetting the table in a quick and timely manner.
7. Display and promote a positive attitude and willingness to be a part of the team including assisting others as needed.
8. Keep the Shift Manager and Lead apprised of any customer concerns or positive remarks.
9. Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly report all concerns to Supervisor.
10. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled in a safe manner.
11. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
12. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
13. Cross-train and provide coverage to Cashier/Hostess as needed.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

1. One (1) year of food service experience with at least six (6) months in tableside service in a restaurant setting.
2. Three (3) months of cash handling experience.
3. Needs to frequently stand and/or walk for long periods of time perform repetitive motions with arms, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers; bend, lift, and maneuver 25 lbs.
4. Effective communication skills - able to read, verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions in English, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
5. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
6. Possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.
7. Requires a criminal history background check.
8. Must be at least 18 years of age.
