In this role, you will safely operate printing press equipment, maintain product quality, and ensure all customer specifications and production requirements are met.What You'll DoAct as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilitiesLead all aspects of press operation including setup, changeovers, startup, operation, and shutdownSupport continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing initiativesRun jobs according to customer specifications, manufacturing standards, print specifications, and operating proceduresComplete production, quality, and job documentation accurately and completelyWork with and direct Press Assistants and Pit Crew members to minimize downtime and improve efficiencyTrain Press Assistants and support their development through established training programsSupport product safety and quality requirementsParticipate in 5S, WCM, and cross-training initiativesPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipMust HavePrevious manufacturing and machine operation experienceAbility to perform quality checks and interpret results to make machine adjustmentsBasic computer skills and ability to learn production software and systemsMath, measurement, and reading skillsAbility to perform detailed visual inspections using measurement devicesCommitment to safety, quality, and teamworkAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for long periods and perform climbing, crouching, and reaching tasksPreferredExperience training or mentoring others in a manufacturing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience working in a fast-paced production environmentExperience following customer specifications and quality standardsJoin AmcorJoin a global leader in packaging where safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement drive everything we do.Our ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
