About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years (will consider 1.5 years with Level I Trauma experience) License: NM license can pend at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission) Must-Have: 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience preferred Travel experience strongly preferred First-timers accepted with travel experience Description: Travelers should expect their assignments to include admitted patients. Approximately 60%-80% of the emergency department comprises admitted patients, with many rooms designated for ED holding. Medication administration requires adherence to the seven medication rights, along with documentation and communication of clinical findings. Experience with Level I trauma is preferred. Floating is required within the scope to meet facility needs, particularly to adult patient care units based on staffing requirements. Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed. Travelers are expected to work per staffing needs, which includes floating based on availability. Daily census in the unit averages between 170-200. The unit supports interdisciplinary care, including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. To be considered, candidates must possess trauma/resuscitation experience. Travelers will not be accepted from within a 100-mile radius.
