About the Position

Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours (0700 - 1900) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required. TNCC preferred. Must-Have: General Emergency Department skill set, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation. Description: Seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. This is a free-standing emergency department with 12 beds. The facility offers 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and ultrasound services. The department averages 38 ED visits per day. Patient types include all ages with common ED diagnoses and behavioral health issues. The RN to patient ratio is 1:4-5. Charge RN support is available. Nursing support includes safety attendants. In-house respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Imaging services are staffed with two RNs, RT, and imaging professionals who are cross-trained to assist in patient care. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC. Technological equipment includes Alaris and Omnicell Panda Warmers. Floating to other facilities within the region may be required based on needs. Traveling time will be compensated if floating mid-shift. Scrub color for staff is navy blue.
