Position Overview

Looking to step away from traditional retail? We are seeking an efficient, detail-driven Mail Order Pharmacist to join a fast-paced central fill facility in Louisville. In this role, you will perform high-volume prescription verifications and telephonic clinical consultations in a structured, non-retail setting (zero face-to-face retail counter disruptions).

Key Responsibilities

• Order Verification: Complete final clinical checks on high-volume prescriptions to ensure proper dosing, accuracy, and safety regarding drug interactions.
• Telephonic Patient Care: Counsel patients over the phone on drug therapy regimens, answer clinical questions, and help resolve adherence barriers.
• Prescriber Engagement: Collaborate with physicians and clinic teams to clarify orders, adjust therapy plans, and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Technician Supervision: Guide and oversee pharmacy technicians handling automated fill technology, packaging, and shipping logistics.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous adherence to state/federal pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and company efficiency metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Kentucky Pharmacist license.
• Experience: 1–2 years in central fill, mail order, call center, or high-volume retail preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Tech-savvy with strong typing speed and comfort navigating multi-screen software systems.
• Communication: Outstanding phone etiquette and articulate verbal communication skills.
