Your future role at a glance Location: Anderson, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Department/Specialty: Ambulance Ground Schedule: Rotating Part Time How you'll make an impact in this role Provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport as part of the transport team. Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility as part of the transport team in collaboration with the transport physician and/or Registered Nurse. Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate. Contact receiving medical personnel, report observations and follow directives. Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public. Required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation preferred. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Drivers License preferred. Instructor specializing in Pediatric Adv Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Spprt preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience Work Experience: Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
