Position Details

Role: Veterinary Assistant Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience & licensure Schedule: Four 7:45 a.m.6:00 p.m. shifts per week with alternating Saturdays from 7:45 a.m.12:00 p.m.

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

• Assist with surgical procedures, dental cleanings, radiology, and patient treatments
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory testing, and anesthesia monitoring
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care, treatment plans, and home care instructions
• Maintain accurate medical records and support efficient hospital workflow
• Collaborate closely with veterinarians and team members to provide exceptional patient care

What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting preferred
• Strong technical skills and confidence in patient care procedures
• Excellent communication and client education abilities
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
• Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work scheduled weekday shifts and rotating Saturdays
• Experience with avian and exotic patients is a plus but not required
