Quality Assurance Specialist

Work Location: Webster, TX Minimum Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Clearance: U.S. Government (Public Trust) Job Summary This Quality Assurance position works closely with Quality Assurance leadership to assess and improve manufacturing processes through testing, inspection, and verification activities. Key Responsibilities Assure the quality of products through inspection and verification activities. Perform flight equipment inspections and verify compliance with requirements. Prepare Test Readiness Review (TRR) documentation and confirm hardware pre-test status. Approve work authorization documents and establish mandatory inspection points. Provide input to milestone reviews and boards; support and mentor Quality Assurance Specialists as needed. Evaluate discrepancy reports and concur on Material Review Board (MRB) decisions. Assess engineering changes and waivers for quality impacts; perform trend analysis of nonconformances and prepare reports. Evaluate inspection and test methods, tools, instruments, and processes for effectiveness; enforce adherence to published safety procedures. Report to a senior Quality Engineer, supervisor, or manager. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent). Alternatively, an Associate’s degree in these fields plus a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience, or 3–5 years of related experience. Required Skills and Traits Completion of training in general safety, electrostatic discharge (ESD) awareness, foreign object damage (FOD) awareness, and quality system awareness. Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret procedures and requirements. Competency with desktop software applications, MS Office is required. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Sound judgment and decision-making ability. Initiative and a results-driven mindset. High level of thoroughness and attention to detail; strong follow-through. Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Customer-service orientation with strong interpersonal skills. Additional Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation. This is a Full-time position Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (No travel expected) Ability to work in a professional office environment and routinely use standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, filing cabinets, etc.) Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to learn new tasks quickly with minimal supervision. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
