Bartender

Position ASM Global /SAVOR is hiring a Bartender at the Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI. This customer‑service focused role is for experienced bartenders committed to responsible alcohol service in a professional environment. Core Responsibilities Mix drinks to order and serve guests. Complete any other duties assigned. Qualifications Strong verbal communication skills and professional demeanor. Prior bartending experience. Self‑motivated, able to stand for long periods. Personable and guest‑service driven. Essential Functions / Expectations Maintain good customer service skills and develop guest loyalty. Follow all SAVOR policies and procedures. Be present for all major and minor events at the Arena. Education & Experience Previous bartending experience preferred. Skills & Abilities Excellent guest‑service skills; adhere to service standards, proper grooming and appearance. Complete required pre‑employment food and alcohol service training (TIPs, ServSafe certification). Basic math skills; accurately count change and balance bank. Effective communication skills; communicate with guests and receive orders. Work effectively with others. Perform well in fast‑paced environment. Physical Requirements Stand and remain stationary for the entire shift. Constant walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds. Environmental Working Conditions May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme heat and cold, depending on season. May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces. Physical Demands Regularly move around the facility; stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. May require work inside or outside the building as needed by events.
