Job Description Job Description NOW HIRING – UNDERGROUND UTILITY INSTALLATION CREW MEMBERS Job duties: Spotting general labor assembling new water lines and vales and restraints Southern Contractors Group (SCG) is an underground utility installation company specializing in the installation of new water and sewer lines for cities, government entities, and residential water companies. We are currently looking for dependable, hard-working employees who are detail-oriented, motivated, and take pride in doing quality work. JOB DETAILS: • Full-time position • Work primarily Monday through Friday • Some overtime may be required and will be paid accordingly • Weekend work may occasionally be required for special circumstances, but this is rare • Paychecks are issued every 2 weeks TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require out-of-town work depending on the project location and where the employee lives. • SCG will provide and pay for hotel accommodations when overnight stays are required • Employees will receive a daily per diem allowance for each day worked while out of town REQUIREMENTS: • Must have reliable transportation to travel to job sites • Must be dependable and punctual • Must be willing to work outdoors in varying conditions • Construction or underground utility experience is preferred, but not required for all positions • Must be willing to follow directions, pay attention to detail, and work safely as part of a team If you are looking for steady work with a company that values dependable employees and quality workmanship, we encourage you to apply.
