Job Summary The Lead Cashier is responsible for collecting and reconciling revenue from the previous day's work of all cashiers, while providing aggressive hospitality to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. The Lead Cashier is a model for other cashiers and is highly knowledgeable of the job and operations. Responsibilities Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients. Acknowledge and greet guests immediately while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Address guests using last names when appropriate. Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure. Appropriately use the salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location. Use proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Assist guests with directions and all other inquiries. Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area. (35%) Assign and organize daily breaks and lunches for cashier staff. Handle the call-off procedure for cashiers and contact other cashiers to replace call-offs. Coordinate procedures for large events in collaboration with Towne Park and/or hotel management. Maintain a knowledge of all parking systems and equipment at the location. Participate in the recruitment and hiring of cashiers to ensure the best people are selected for the location. Ensure new cashiers get off to the right start through proper orientation and on-the-job training. Practice positive discipline and provide accurate and timely performance documentation for cashiers. Promote and enliven the Towne Park culture through good work ethic, drive, energy, positivity and persistence. (35%) Determine guest charges and process payments via cash, credit, or direct billing. Collect and reconcile revenue accurately and furnish payment receipts. Complete accurate and timely shift reports. Operate equipment, including registers, gates, and credit card machines. Ensure cashiers follow all standard operating procedures related to cash banks. Obtain and disseminate information about daily events and rates to be charged. Reconcile all overages and shortages. Monitor revenue per available space and make adjustments accordingly. Maintain the location’s continuity and SOP binders. (30%) The total amount of time for all functions of the job – 100%. (35%) Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Required Licensure, Certification, etc.: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Work Experience: One to two (1-2) years of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills: Must be able to read and write standard English language; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees; add and subtract three-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with tens and hundreds using units of American money, weight measurement, volume and distance; understand 24-hour and military time systems; understand rates applicable to time passed. Compensation Hourly base pay range: $15 per hour. Compensation will be based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. Work Schedule Mon-Fri 7a-3p.
