Our organization is looking for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to become part of a well-established and supportive team at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, conveniently located near St. Louis, MO.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access facility focused on delivering quality healthcare services to residents in Crawford, Franklin, and Washington counties.

The hospital has enhanced its healthcare offerings with a state-of-the-art emergency department, a modern childbirth center, a critical care unit, a multi-room surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehabilitation services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building accommodates primary care physicians and various visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area.

Additionally, the hospital operates four rural health clinics to serve surrounding communities, along with a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center featuring two hyperbaric chambers.

The Sullivan medical clinic is a well-established, multi-disciplinary group providing family, internal, and OB care.

Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose

The physician will deliver professional medical services within their specialty, focusing on direct patient care while also dedicating time to complete medical records, provide MyChart consultations, manage in-basket tasks, conduct patient-specific education, and collaborate with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the medical care of a patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care, either through regular hospital rounds or by coordinating with hospitalists or other qualified physicians to ensure coverage for hospitalized patients in line with Medical Staff requirements.

• Work collaboratively with patients, families, and care team members to achieve excellent patient care outcomes at designated clinic locations and any other BJC clinical outreach sites as needed.

• Document medical histories and physical examinations in patients' medical records as mandated by hospital medical staff bylaws.

• Provide or arrange call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient care in accordance with BJC policies and Medical Staff bylaws, while adhering to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards.

• Collaborate with and mentor advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team members involved in the care of the physician's patient panel.

• This position is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to maintain constant alertness and work safely.

Minimum RequirementsEducation

• Doctorate in Medicine

Experience

• Less than 2 years

Supervisor Experience

• No supervisory experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in the relevant specialty

• Licensed Physician

• 2-5 years of experience
