Tutor

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide one-to-one and group tutoring. In addition, the following duties may be expected:

• Assist students virtually on TEAMSin addition to face to face
• Prepare and present workshops
• Provide customer service on desk as needed; escorting students to staff, answering phone calls, taking messages, log students into computers
• Record student performance on a daily or weekly basis
• Record in-class activities by data entry and hard copy
• Assist in class tours and visits to the Academic Success Center
• Attend in-service training and marketing events on campus as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience: Must have completed at least 12 college credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
• Must have earned an "A" grade in the course assigned to for tutoring

Skills:

• Good people skills
• Demonstrate a desire to help students
• Strong understanding and use of Microsoft applications
• Demonstrate knowledge of campus resources
