What you will do
\n The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting and processing payroll operations for employees across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This role performs payroll reconciliations, audits payroll data, supports union reporting requirements, and partners closely with HR, HRIT, Finance, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, excels in Excel, has experience with Workday, and possesses a strong understanding of payroll compliance and reporting requirements. 

How you will do it

• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

• Analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner. 
\n

• Support payroll processing activities for U.S., Canadian, and Puerto Rico employee populations. 
\n

\n
• Develop and maintain payroll reports using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis tools. 
\n

\n
• Utilize Workday and other payroll systems to validate employee data, pay calculations, deductions, taxes, and earnings. 
\n

\n
• Coordinate and complete union reporting requirements, including preparation and submission of benefit, dues, pension, and other contractual reports. 
\n

\n
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, local, and Puerto Rico payroll regulations. 
\n

\n
• Assist with payroll tax balancing, quarter-end activities, and year-end processes. 
\n

\n
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing payroll data and documentation. 
\n

\n
• Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, Mobility, and Operations teams to resolve payroll issues and improve payroll processes. 
\n

\n
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and controls within payroll operations. 
\n

\n
• Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information and sensitive company data. 
\n

What we look for

• 3+ years of payroll experience supporting complex payroll environments. 
\n

\n
• Experience processing or supporting payroll in the United States; Canada and Puerto Rico payroll experience preferred. 
\n

\n
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills. 
\n

\n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

• Experience using Workday HRIS and payroll systems.

• Experience preparing and managing union payroll reporting requirements.

• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour requirements, and payroll controls.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications 

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
\n

\n
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation. 
\n

\n
• Experience supporting multi-country payroll operations. 
\n

\n
• Experience working with unionized employee populations. 
\n

\n
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. 
\n

\n
• Experience with payroll integrations, reporting tools, and process automation. 
\n
