Summary We are seeking a personable, detail-oriented hospitality or real estate professional with a passion for both people and numbers. Building on an understanding of hotel operations, the day-to-day role includes research and financial analysis for hotels and other hospitality-related assets. Under supervision, the analyst will interview market participants, assess local supply and demand, develop revenue and expense forecasts, and apply valuation models. The analyst will also maintain the property database (sales, leases, and operating comparables) and support appraisal report preparation with guidance from senior valuation professionals. Responsibilities and Duties Perform property inspections and interview subject property management, with field research and travel as necessary Conduct market research including supply/demand analysis, competitive set identification, and review of economic and tourism trends Analyze historical operating statements, STR data, and hotel performance metrics (ADR, occupancy, RevPAR) Gather pertinent factors regarding the subject property Assist in the development and review of financial models, including stabilized projections and discounted cash flow analyses Utilize market and subject information to forecast future performance Enter and maintain a database of competitive hotels, revenue & expense comparables, and hotel sales Value real estate assets under proper supervision Take professional education classes towards appraisal licensure Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for clients and senior leadership Ensure compliance with all relevant appraisal standards, regulations, client policies, and company procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree from four-year university. Preferred (but not required) majors would include: Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field Hospitality operations experience and/or real estate experience preferred Strong interest in hospitality real estate, valuation, and analytics Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely Ability to self-manage multiple projects at once in an organized fashion Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills; proficiency with PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications Interpersonal skills to work within a team and build industry relationships High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments Willingness to pursue appraisal education and licensure (if applicable) Physical Requirements Must be able to travel to asset tours Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone and via emails Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen What This Role Offers Direct exposure to hotel valuation and advisory assignments nationwide Structured mentorship and training from experienced hospitality appraisers Clear growth path to senior analyst and associate-level roles Collaborative, team-oriented environment with high standards for quality Equal Employment Opportunity It is Partner Valuation Advisors (The Company) policy to provide equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees. Salary Range The salary range for the Sr Analyst position is $55,000-$75,000.
