About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year; 1st timers accepted; Charge experience required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Charge experience required - Experience with patient population: adults to geriatrics - Must be able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration Description: All RN roles will be expected to perform their own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks. The patient population includes individuals post-myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease. Experience with telemetry, EKGs, and Doppler is required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 with an average daily census of 16. Candidates must have experience with Epic and other unit systems. Candidates will be required to float within the facility as needed, within their scope of practice. There are no call requirements for this position. The nurse is expected to work on holidays if they fall within the assignment period. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Full compliance is required prior to the start date; this includes completion of all documentation and modules. Nurses will play a key role in managing various cardiac procedures and patient needs, including but not limited to blood product administration and management of dysrhythmias.
