We're looking for a dependable, motivated leader to join Firehouse Subs as a Shift Manager.

As a Shift Manager, you'll take responsibility for leading the restaurant during your assigned shifts. You'll direct the team, maintain our standards, take care of our guests, and help create an environment where people know what's expected and work together to get results.

What You'll Do

• Lead the shift and provide clear direction to Team Members
• Position the team effectively and adjust as business needs change
• Set expectations, delegate responsibilities, and follow up
• Lead the team with urgency during peak periods
• Provide friendly, Heartfelt Service and ensure the team does the same
• Coach Team Members and provide feedback in the moment
• Ensure food quality, accuracy, cleanliness, and Firehouse Subs standards are maintained
• Monitor productivity and make appropriate labor adjustments during the shift
• Handle guest concerns and make things right when problems occur
• Complete opening, closing, cash-handling, and shift-management responsibilities accurately
• Follow and enforce food safety and workplace safety standards
• Communicate important shift information and operational concerns to restaurant management
• Support training and development of Team Members

Pay & Benefits

• Shift Managers start $2/hour above the applicable minimum wage, plus tips.
• Employees average approximately $3/hour in tips (tips vary and are not guaranteed)
• 25% discount on the entire menu, with opportunities to earn a higher employee meal discount

Position Details & Requirements

• Part-time or full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Full-time positions are expected to average 30+ hours per week
• Previous restaurant or leadership experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to confidently provide direction and feedback to others
• Oregon Food Handler Certificate required
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain as required
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
