Lead Cyber Security Engineer

To support a growing Security Operations Center, the full-time Lead Cyber Security Engineer will design, build, and maintain security architectures while optimizing detection capabilities and assisting in governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, all in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Design and implement technical solutions for alert orchestration and automated risk monitoring tools Lead the integration of security tools to ensure a unified security posture Assist in technical risk assessments and recommend remediation engineering for identified vulnerabilities Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field 10 years of progressive experience in IT and Security, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering capacity CISSP, CISM, or relevant technical certifications like GIAC or OSCP preferred Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash Experience with SIEM logic, YARA rules, and EDR configuration for improved detection efficacy Virtual Vocations Inc
