Work Environment

This full-time Physical Therapist Assistant position is an onsite role within a hospital setting, offering a collaborative atmosphere where healthcare professionals work together to provide exceptional patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent routine that promotes work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment programs tailored to meet each patient's rehabilitation goals.
• Provide hands-on therapy, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities, to enhance patients' recovery.
• Educate and instruct patients on specific exercises and activities essential for their rehabilitation process, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records that facilitate ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physical therapists, physicians, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care and support patient outcomes.
• Utilize trigger point therapy techniques when appropriate to enhance pain management and improve mobility.
• Support occupational health initiatives within the facility, assisting with preventive strategies and rehabilitation for work-related injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those managing chronic pain, and patients enhancing their mobility following injury or illness. You will work closely with patients of all ages, guiding them through tailored rehabilitation programs that prioritize their comfort and promote health and wellness.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
• A current and active PTA state license.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Proficiency in effective manual therapy techniques, with a commitment to continuous improvement of skills.
• An empathetic approach to patient care, focused on delivering quality treatment while building rapport with patients.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, candidates with additional certifications in specialized treatment modalities or experience in a hospital setting will be favored. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and evidence-based practice methodologies is also a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
