This role will lead the design and delivery of mission-critical integrations across our People Tech ecosystem while setting integration standards, mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with business leaders to modernize workflows at scale.What You'll Be Working OnArchitecting and building enterprise-grade integrations using the Workato ONE platform to enable intelligent workflow automationDesigning, developing, and maintaining deep API integrations across a broad enterprise application stack spanning business-critical systems(ERP, CRM, etc.)Leveraging AI-powered automation within Workato to improve efficiency, resiliency, and predictive process optimizationEstablishing reusable integration architecture patterns, frameworks, and governance standards that scale across both human-led and automated workflowsPartnering with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, lead discovery sessions, assess ROI, and translate complex needs into scalable technical solutionsLeading integration initiatives end-to-end, from concept through deployment, including sprint execution, technical reviews, and delivery accountabilityProviding senior-level escalation support, ensuring reliability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response for critical integrationsWhat You'll Bring To The Team7+ years of experience as an API Developer or Integration Engineer in enterprise environments3+ years of hands-on production experience with Workato, ideally with Workato ONEDeep expertise building and operating complex Workato recipes, including error handling, monitoring, batch processing, custom connectors, SDK development, and API collectionsInterest in and exposure to AI-assisted development workflows and intelligent automation — you don't need to be an expert, but you should be excited about where integration engineering is headingCollaborating with internal software engineering teams to ensure integration patterns and API access are available for custom-built internal tools and automationsProven experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms across domains such as HCM, ERP, CRM, finance, or similarExpert knowledge of enterprise integration best practices, EAI/SOA patterns, and iPaaS architecturesProficiency with RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, SAML, SOAP, RBAC, and API security best practicesExperience with Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira/JSM, Confluence, and CI/CD workflowsStrong understanding of HR data models, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2), and secure handling of sensitive PIIBonus PointsWorkato Foundations or Integration Developer certificationsExperience with leading enterprise SaaS platforms and their native integration toolingExperience with additional iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica)Background in HR technology consulting or HRIS implementationsGeneral experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), IaC tools, or identity and SSO integrationsExperience in high-growth or highly regulated environmentsBenefits:Competitive compensation and equity packagesRestricted Stock UnitsPaid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programsComprehensive health, dental & vision insuranceEmployer contributions to HSA accountPaid parental leavePaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disabilityProfessional development & tuition reimbursementMental health & wellness supportCommuter benefits (parking & transit)Cell phone stipend401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salaryVolunteer time offGlobal travel insurance & emergency assistanceDaily meals allowanceAdditional perks & programs specific to locationCompensation RangeCompensation will be paid in the range of up to $165,000 - $200,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
