Services as a liaison for patients, families, providers and staff regarding billing and service questions.Principle ResponsibilitiesProvides scheduling support and coordination of appointments.Functions as an in-clinic resource for patients, families, providers and staff related to billing and service questions.Provides first resolution regarding patient complaints.May complete prior authorization, referrals, complex specialty scheduling and manage work queues.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description0 to 2 years of experience in a Clinic Office Specialist role2 to 5 years of experience as a medical receptionist or customer service position2 to 5 years of basic medical terminology experiencePreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAssociate's or Vocational degreeMedical Reception or equivalent program0 to 2 years of previous scheduling experience with electronic medical recordPhysical DemandsSedentary:Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $22.04 to $30.01 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
