Senior AI/ML Engineer - San Francisco

Salary: $120,100 - 214,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• We require 4+ years of Python programming experience.
• We require 4+ years of hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• We require 4+ years of experience working with AI/ML infrastructure, tools, and platforms across the full technology stack.
• We require 2+ years in a team lead capacity.
• We require 1+ year of experience using large language models.
• We require a proven track record of partnering with customers to design and deliver at least two complete AI products from concept to release.
• We prefer experience delivering and monitoring LLM-based cloud systems in production.
• We prefer healthcare industry experience.
• We prefer strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, including hands-on experience building and running multiple production pipelines.
• We prefer proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions, artifact and dependency management, Docker-based containerization, and Terraform for secure, repeatable deployments.
• We prefer strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical ideas to varied audiences.

• We lead and contribute to the design and hands-on build of an AI/ML platform that helps us extract insights from patient data in a scalable, reliable, and cost-effective way.
• We partner with product managers, data scientists, prompt designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable AI systems.
• We use AI-assisted tools for design, implementation, code review, and testing.
• We ensure delivery of high-quality, maintainable, efficient code and specifications, and we set the standard for getting quality right the first time.
• We drive architectural choices and help shape our long-term technical strategy for AI/ML systems.
• We own end-to-end delivery of platform and agent capabilities, from problem definition through design, implementation, packaging, deployment, and production monitoring.
• We work with cross-functional teams to define scope, success criteria, and milestones, then execute with strong engineering discipline through CI/CD, environment readiness, and quality gates.
• We stay current on new AI/ML technologies, tools, and research, evaluating how they can solve business problems.
• We promote innovation through rapid iteration, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.
• We serve as a trusted technical advisor to management, internal stakeholders, and customers.
• We mentor and guide other engineers to help them grow.
