Position Type: Full-Time Shift Availability: Day and Night Shifts Required (Flexible Schedule Needed)

Position Overview: Our client is hiring an experienced Fiber Optic Splicer to assist with telecommunications infrastructure initiatives. This role is best suited for a technician with practical experience in both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber environments, along with strong troubleshooting capabilities and a focus on safety, precision, and quality execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fiber optic splicing activities in both OSP and ISP settings, including ribbon splicing, ribbonizing, and ribbon splitting within 288 and 428 fiber configurations
• Complete splicing work within live network environments while minimizing downtime and maintaining service integrity
• Conduct OTDR testing, analyze test results, and diagnose signal loss or network faults
• Troubleshoot fiber connectivity issues and perform appropriate repair and restoration procedures
• Operate, maintain, and properly handle fiber optic equipment including fusion splicers, mechanical splicers, cleavers, OTDR devices, and power meters
• Utilize industry-standard hand tools such as fiber strippers, buffer tube splitters, and cable ring tools to prepare and manage fiber cabling
• Ensure all work performed aligns with project specifications, company standards, and industry compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation, organized job sites, and proper equipment tracking and inventory

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on fiber optic splicing experience
• Strong working knowledge of fusion splicing equipment, OTDR testing, power meters, and other fiber optic tools
• Previous experience with fiber optic cable installation preferred
• Must have experience working with live enclosures
• Valid driver's license required, along with the ability to meet all driving, safety, medical, and drug screening requirements
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age
