We’re looking for a strategic marketing leader who can balance long-term franchise planning with flawless campaign execution while helping define the brand and creative strategy across the Warcraft franchise. In this role, you will shape integrated global marketing strategies across major content releases, live-service moments, and franchise tentpole campaigns, driving player engagement, audience growth, and long-term franchise success. Working closely with development, creative, community, communications, regional Marketing, and external partners, you will champion creative excellence, align stakeholders around a shared vision, and bring impactful player experiences to life around the world. By leveraging audience insights, market intelligence, and performance analytics, you will identify opportunities for growth, influence franchise priorities, and help shape the future of Warcraft marketing. This role requires a marketing leader who can navigate complexity, establish alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and raise the bar for creative and strategic excellence across the Warcraft franchise. You will provide expert guidance on high-impact marketing initiatives, translating business and player needs into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. Success in this role requires strong judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to influence decisions and drive results across global cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate combines creative vision, analytical rigor, and deep consumer marketing expertise to improve marketing effectiveness, champion innovation, and elevate the quality of execution across the broader organization. This role offers a hybrid work week, with a mix of work-from-home and onsite days, based out of our Irvine, CA studio. Responsibilities Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Define and evolve the long-term marketing vision, strategic pillars, and creative frameworks for World of Warcraft, driving player engagement, audience growth, and franchise business objectives across global markets. Craft differentiated brand positioning, creative platforms, and messaging strategies informed by player insights, market intelligence, and product priorities to strengthen franchise relevance and brand affinity. Lead major content launches, seasonal campaigns, and franchise tentpole activations from strategic planning through execution, measurement, and post-campaign optimization. Align Development, Creative, Community, Communications, Regional Marketing, and external partners around a unified marketing vision and integrated player experience across all channels and touchpoints. Direct internal teams, agencies, and creative partners through clear strategic briefs, feedback, and decision-making frameworks that ensure high-quality execution against franchise objectives. Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling campaign recommendations, strategic plans, and performance insights that inform franchise priorities and investment decisions. Leverage audience analytics, market intelligence, consumer research, and performance data to identify growth opportunities, optimize marketing effectiveness, and shape long-term franchise strategy. Minimum Requirements 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in the video game industry or a related entertainment field. Proven track record of launching successful marketing campaigns for AAA brands across multiple channels and platforms. Deep experience with executions requiring A/V production, physical production, paid media creative, out of home, and the other core pieces of a robust 360 campaign Demonstrated experience in ideating, briefing, feedbacking, and quality-managing high-scope creative work. Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis and the ability to work across multiple teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others. Preferred Qualifications A passion for gaming, gaming culture, and strong understanding of current industry trends, player behavior, and product life cycles. In-depth knowledge of Blizzard games, particularly World of Warcraft. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations.
