Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Vascular Surgery

. This opportunity is ideal for an associate-level physician looking to provide high-quality vascular surgical care within a dynamic medical practice setting.

In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and surgically treat patients with vascular conditions, working closely with the medical team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. As part of the Medical Practice industry, you will contribute to clinical excellence, uphold the highest standards of patient safety, and support continuity of care across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with vascular diseases and conditions
• Perform vascular surgical procedures in accordance with established clinical standards
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and monitoring
• Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and other physicians
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely patient medical records
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical discussions
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Provide patient education and counseling on procedures and long-term vascular health
• Support continuity of care during coverage periods and handoffs

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted MD or DO medical license eligible for practice in Colorado
• Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery
• Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship in Vascular Surgery
• Active DEA registration and relevant state controlled substance credentials
• Proficiency in open and endovascular vascular surgical techniques
• Strong clinical judgment and sound decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and electronic health record systems
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and quality improvement
• Flexibility to accommodate on-site contract scheduling and coverage needs

Level II Trauma

24-hour call coverage (7a-7a), specific dates

Daily Volume: 3-4 admissions

Patient Population: Adult and geriatric

Required Procedures: Abdominal, open, and endovascular

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

DEA required

Paid travel and expenses
