RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (RRT)

The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will open in Spring 2026, offering a 150‑room, state‑of‑the‑art facility with comprehensive services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics, Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. Respiratory Therapist (RRT), PRN Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of routine and intensive therapy, diagnostic procedures, and patient assessments in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Maintains and stocks respiratory equipment. Ensures ventilator and life‑support equipment are operable during assigned shift. Benefit Highlights Challenging and rewarding work environment. Qualifications Education Requirements: Graduation from an approved two‑year respiratory therapist program. Experience: A minimum of 1‑year full‑time experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting. Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities. Basic computer and customer service skills required. Must be able to identify and competently address the needs of the population served. License / Certification: Licensed by the State of Florida. Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and certified by NBRC. Required to hold AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
