Job Description
Registered Nurse - PICU

Schedule

Shifts are rotating, and the clinician will be expected to work either shift during their contract. Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30).

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The facility is allowed to call off the clinician up to 3 times during the assignment.

Requirements

• 1.5 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• New Mexico RN license required.
• Experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures, ventilators, and inotropic drips is necessary.
• Pending licenses are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting.
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators and inotropic support.
• Participate in the care of complex patients requiring CRRT and ECMO.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Document patient care and changes in condition in the electronic medical record.

Compliance / Notes

The clinician is expected to take 2 intubated patients when needed. Flu shot is required. The facility asks for 4 weekend shifts for day shift and 5 weekend shifts for night shift, with weekends defined as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. RTO restrictions apply: any requests greater than 7 days need approval.
