Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Production Equipment Maintenance SpecialistSupports our production operations by ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.Essential FunctionsResponsible for maintaining company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working orderOn-call emergency repairsResponsible for taking control of breakdownsExecute a plan of continued improvement of machine safety and general housekeepingWork with crews to complete all preventative maintenanceWork with machine operator to troubleshoot and determine root cause of mechanical issuesRespond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectivelyWork hand in hand with Maintenance Manager to resolve any accident waiting to happen formsWork as a team to maintain organization and inventory of maintenance shop and toolsDuties may vary depending on locationRequirements/QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredExperience:Electrical certification preferred**Corrugated packaging industry a plus**Strong knowledge of mechanical machineryAbility to use shop tools and equipment, drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torchA good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsA strong trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitudeMust be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawingsMust be fully computer literate with Microsoft environmentSpecific Knowledge, Skills, or AbilitiesStrong written and oral communication.Organization and attention to detail.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Time management.Systems analysis.Mathematical and deductive reasoning.Critical thinking.Active learning.Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to perform maintenance on machineryAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular consistent basis.Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.Work Environment:Exposure to moving mechanical parts.Wet and or humid conditionsOffice Setting, sitting for long periods of time.Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and vibration.Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Disclaimer: This list does not represent all physical demands.
