Nurse PractitionerThe UCLA Department of Urology is looking to fill the role of a Nurse Practitioner (NP). The NP is expected to provide exemplary patient care consistent with the UCLA Health CICARE Service Excellence. This individual will review medical histories, evaluate patients in clinic and via telemedicine, perform comprehensive physical examination, review laboratory and imaging results, formulate treatment plans, manage prescriptions, and provide patient education.The NP will manage clinical questions by telephone and Epic inbasket, perform procedures as needed, manage clinical issues that arise following procedures and surgeries, address prescription-related issues such as prior authorization, and carry out related tasks for the UCLA Department of Urology under the supervision of the attending urologists.Salary range: $93.81- $133.97/hourlyJob QualificationsMSN or DNP with Adult/Gero Acute Care NP specialty- requiredCA RN and NP certification, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II- requiredNational NP Board certification in Adult-Gero Acute Care/Adult Acute Care NP/FNP/Adult Primary Care specialty - requiredNPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment on CURES- requiredAbility to utilize excel, word and other software programs-requiredAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-requiredSkill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-requiredAbility to set priorities-requiredDemonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-requiredDocument patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-requiredMin of 3 years as NP in Urology setting-strongly preferred
