QC Technician
The QC Technician inspects, tests, and verifies electrical control panels and components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role focuses on electrical testing, validation of control systems, and accurate interpretation of technical documentation while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and verify electrical control panels and components to ensure they meet established quality assurance standards.
- Interpret and verify Bills of Materials (BoM) and electrical schematics to confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Perform electronic testing of control panels and trace wire origins and tags to verify correct wiring and labeling.
- Power up and test AC/DC systems up to 480V while strictly following OSHA and NEC safety protocols.
- Validate the operation of PLCs and instrument loops (4–20 mA), including transmitters, flow meters, and pressure, temperature, and level probes.
- Use platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Schneider Electric for I/O testing and system verification.
- Submit detailed corrective work orders when issues are identified and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and strictly adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work extended hours or weekends as needed based on production schedules and project timelines.
Essential Skills:
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in electrical testing, panel wiring, or quality control.
- Ability to read, interpret, and verify Bills of Materials (BoM) and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with electrical panel wiring and control panel assembly or inspection.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Familiarity with electrical circuits, relays, and standard electrical test equipment.
- Experience powering up and testing AC/DC systems up to 480V while following OSHA and NEC safety standards.
- Ability to validate PLC operation and 4–20 mA instrument loops, including transmitters and field instruments.
- Experience using Allen-Bradley and Schneider Electric platforms for I/O testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in panel building or electrical panel quality control.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
- Ability to identify issues and submit clear, concise corrective work orders.
- Comfort working in a production environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with production and engineering teams.

Work Environment:
The role involves regular standing, talking, and hearing, with occasional sitting, walking, climbing, and kneeling in a production or shop-floor setting. You work hands-on with electrical panels, AC/DC systems up to 480V, PLCs, and instrumentation using standard electrical test equipment and tools. The environment requires strict adherence to OSHA and NEC safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Work hours may extend beyond the standard schedule, including some weekends, based on production demands.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract position based out of Lewisville, TX.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
