Job Description The Data Center Construction QAQC Engineer Intern (QAQC-I) provides construction management, quality assurance and quality control support during the delivery of mission‑critical data center facilities. They also participate in the supply chain coordination, inspection and validation of mechanical and electrical components, ensuring that delivered components meet the required specifications before installation and commissioning. The QAQC-I partners with senior team members, project managers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to monitor and ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards and timelines throughout the construction process. The QAQC-I provides construction support as part of Apollo's onsite, client‑facing teams. Thus, this role may involve approximately 75% or more travel to various client locations. Education Relevant coursework towards a bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain & logistics, or a related discipline OR one year of experience in the supply chain coordination, inspection, validation, and quality control of mechanical and/or electrical systems in a construction environment. Key Responsibilities Support the review of construction plans and design specifications to help identify quality and compliance requirements. Collaborate with project managers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of electrical and mechanical components. Work with the QAQC team to identify and address potential risks or areas for improvement during project execution. Help prepare and maintain detailed documentation of inspections, tests, and quality reports for project teams. Conduct pre‑installation inspections under the guidance of senior QAQC team members. Achieve certification for NFPA70E, OSHA 30, and other training as required. Travel to other project locations as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Frequently manipulating, moving, or grasping small parts, devices, or tools. Frequently required to remain in a stationary position. Frequently moving through office areas, critical facilities and other environments, including tight and confined spaces. Exposure to low/high temperatures and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Working and walking on different types of terrain on active construction sites (e.g., concrete flooring, gravel, unpaved roads). Frequently ascending and descending stairs and ladders to access equipment. Frequently positioning oneself under or over equipment. Frequently moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Qualifications Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in construction. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams, including project managers and contractors. Skilled at using MS Office tools. Ability to analyze and prepare reports and technical documents. Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines. Must be detail oriented.
