Job Summary

United Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med Surg for a 13-week contract assignment in Federal Way, Washington.

The ideal candidate will have strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience and be comfortable caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN looking for a rewarding contract assignment with a consistent night-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients.
• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and medications.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Assist with procedures and other clinical interventions as required.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection control procedures and patient safety standards.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Previous travel or contract nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work Night Shift and a 3x12 schedule
