ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Berlin, VT

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; rotation between day and night shifts based on unit needs with weekend requirements.

Job Description: The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of patient conditions, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, including critical care interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage ventilators and other advanced medical equipment.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants on the unit.
• Respond to rapid responses and code blue situations as required.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the state of Vermont.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, including 3 years in ICU.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (mandatory prior to start).
• Experience with EPIC documentation system from within the past 2 years is required.
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, AHA PALS.
